SDP "Open the Box" Campaign

As most of you know the National Museum of Decorative Painting is closing.  SDP was interested in saving the collection and the Museum gifted the collection to them. Jennifer Arnold of SDP is heading a fundraiser to help with the cost of the collection in Wichita.  "Open the Box" fundraiser is for every $100 in donations one box will be opened.  So every Friday morning at 11 AM Jennifer is live streaming on Facebook as Miho and others open the boxes. This is an excellent way to see the collection pieces.

One of the ways to see these videos (live or later) is to join the SDP Artful Connection group on Facebook for SDP members only.  I have found an easy way to see these videos...  Janelle Johnson is sharing the videos on her time line.  You can do a search in Facebook for Janelle or use this link... https://www.facebook.com/janelle.johnson.353 and you will see all the video by the date.

I am also going to start sharing the videos on the Rocky Mountain Hi Facebook page. (Melinda)

High Plains Decorative Artists was founded for the purpose of pursuing the goals of the Society of Decorative Painters on a local level by coming together for learning, an exchange of ideas and information. General meetings are followed by an informative program related to some form of decorative painting. Other activities include demonstrations, weekend seminars taught by nationally known teachers, "paint-ins," philanthropic activities, social and educational gatherings and tours. HPDA membership includes painters of all abilities and interests in various mediums.
